I don't like the idea of flipping burgers on their barbecue whilst somebody is being lowered into a 6 foot hole in the ground the other side of the fence. -

Cementries are surrounded by trees and bushes on the perimeter to give the residents and their mourners privacy.
In fact if the graveyard is large the property is worth buying as they wouldn't build on it."You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JRComment

Good point, having a few beers and a Barbie, just chilling then what a mood spoiler, grieving crying relatives spoiling the ambiance.Originally posted by Pip in a Poke View PostI don't like the idea of flipping burgers on their barbecue whilst somebody is being lowered into a 6 foot hole in the ground the other side of the fence.
Heavy rain and you might even find bodies washed up in your greenhouse.Comment

Unlikely to move at my age until they bung me in a care home/coffin but, if I was looking, I'd want a place with a nice garden that gets some sun in the winter. And a huge cave full of monsters under the floor.bloggoth

My sister lives next to a cemetery. It's lovely and quiet (no pun intended) and has a really tranquil vibe about it.Originally posted by Pip in a Poke View PostAnother fruitless day of viewings.
Property no 1: the best on paper and it was was a nice location bit it absolutely stank to high heaven. Single lady with a lot of dogs. She was obviously feeding them that disgusting fish meal stuff because I nearly lost my breakfast on entering the property.
Didn't like the conservatory either; the roof wasn't glazed but had that horrible opaque corrugated plastic that's supposed to keep the heat out.
Property no 2: cancelled - next to a school.
Property no 3: backed on to a cemetary. Didn't clock that on Street View. Only Goths need apply!Comment

I'd die to live somewhere like that. Just to have so much peace and quiet. It would like I'd died and gone to heaven.'CUK forum personality of 2011 - Winner - Yes really!!!!

I use to have school friends' (plural) who had gardens backing on to cemeteries and know some people now. The cemetery my school friends' gardens backed into were still being used and I have relatives buried in one."You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JRComment

Used to live opposite church & cemetery, very pretty but they had built all round it. The bells were a bit annoying sometimes. Just down the road was a school and the 4x4 were all over the place,Comment
