Make some frozen stew at home etc and do that first / second night.
Canned stuff around like stewed steak/curry.
Yummy steak suet pudding.
They do packet Curry Kohlinoor which are nice with a Naan.Comment

Probably a roast ox would be too large. But you could maybe cook chicken legs or boil eggs.
