It's possible to be a fundamentalist Muslim without supporting terrorism. It's possible to be a fundamentalist Christian without believing we need more crusades.
The issue is not race, colour or creed, but hatred and divisiveness.
If someone is told every day by their teachers, their media or whatever sources they rely on that they should hate "non-Muslims" or hate "non-whites" or whatever, then eventually that sinks in.
The next step that their teachers do is tell them why to hate the others, and that is done by convincing the person what the others believe/think/do
The final thing is to convince that the only solution is to get rid of "the others".
