My Friend from Uganda had seen terrible things no one should see.

Also we do know its ISIS policy to include terrorists hidden in the mass of migrants.I doubt this is a new policy.

Also as many are disaffected by the land of milk & honey their parents came to having never experienced the poverty, terror & horror their parents fled. My daughter expects fame & fortune to fall in her lap its sad to watch as she is disappointed but she doesn't have a terrorist recruiting Sargent whispering in her ear at the Mosque every week.

So there are concrete reasons certain groups are more likely to be terrorists so just accusing people of racism is a cop out for the thickies.
This is all true. However, it's also what the xenophobes and racists says (loudly) when they're trying to justify their hatred of everything that's different.

So it's hard to tell the reasonable people from the daily wail reading idiots.
Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!

I'm screwed then (hides his online copy of the fail).

Indeed but we need to deal with these problems now otherwise the heil will win and it will be hurrah for the blackshirts again.

Mental health services are under resourced & probably politically limited to dealing with issues in minorities.

Security services are hampered and when they do find the nutty imamns we can't kick them out of the country.

If the first response is "what colour is their skin, then I'll decide whether they are mentally ill or not", then it is reasonable to suggest that the person saying it has racist tendancies.
Equally, if the concept that anyone looking vaguely Arabic is a potential terrorist, we're talking 15% of the world's population being branded something based on a notion.
And in this case we have a person who has lived most of their life in Norway, but was born in Somalia, not in the Middle East, yet because he is non-White, it's seen by several posters in this thread that he must be part of a terrorist group and when it is reported that he is not, then some claim the reports are lies.

Of course, by me making this post, some will see it as me being left wing/liberal, just because I don't judge people by their skin colour, religion or place of birth.
…Maybe we ain’t that young anymore

He's lived most of his life in the UK, not Norway - fourteen out of nineteen years.

And the reports I've seen say "of Somali descent/origin", not "born in Somalia" - he may have been born in Norway to parents who came from Somalia.

I think most of the posters are waiting for the other boot to drop. We know sadly its coming and in quantity. There are going to be a rash of terror attacks.

                My mistake, you are correct.

Are you saying that no mentally ill people ever commit violent crimes (i.e. all claims of mental illness by violent criminals are fake) or that mental illness is never a partial of full mitigation for violent crime?

Just spent a while perusing these documents:

I've no idea about the veracity of the information or the bias of the organisation, but there's a lot of numbers and graphs.

That's the PC mantra but is it actually practical or realistic? Everybody reflects the culture they were brought up in. Those from fundamentalist Islamic countries are more likely to be fundamentalist Islamists, those from high crime countries are more likely to be criminals etc. it is absurd to pretend otherwise.

Quite true we need to be very careful to avoid offending or discriminating against law-abiding UK citizens but we should not fail to tackle real problems out of fear of appearing racist. Allowing real problems to grow is the worst thing you can do if you want to reduce prejudice against law abiding minorities.

As far as immigration is concerned, we do not have any duty to foreign citizens. Unless we can ascertain that would be migrants are likely to be law abiding and useful they should not be admitted. Stats on the performance of previous migrants from the same nations is a pretty valid way of assessing how rigorous the checks need to be. Being guided by realities is not racism.
