UKIP will never be satisfied. Consider where the centre ground is in a 52-48 vote. It isn't the Brexit Ultra Brigade.

No, but the main motivation for the out vote was immigration. Consider that a lot of the out voters were 'new' voters with no deep party allegiance. Consider the reason we are in this mess is because politicians took the public for granted. Consider that ~35% of the vote can get you elected as government.

That has been my position as well. We have 2 massive forces, on the one hand a clear majority have voted to leave the EU and that must be seen to be respected and on the other hand we have almost 50 years of legal, financial and business integration with the EU and single market. Only a messy compromise 'In the national interest' can square all this.

                  Are you sure of that?

I think "narrow" would be more accurate. Clear implies that the majority was really much larger than the minority.

Point of order. Your "yet" is superfluous. He'll never know it.

No it doesn't it implies that there were enough votes in the winning camp to make intentions clear. In the house it means the Government has enough seats to outvote all other parties if they decide to oppose them.

Not sure that translates to a referendum of two options in any way.
