I don't recall having to provide this information on my recent trip to Austria, France, the Netherlands, Belgium...Originally posted by GB9 View PostTo be fair, we may also have to pay a £10 fee too.

You do know what the EU is? Or is that why you've avoided list only one country.Originally posted by DimPrawn View PostOh my god, imagine having to go online and enter your details like passport, address and DoB in order to travel.

I say the EU should set it at 100 quid plus a CRB check and a test. First question could be 'what does EU stand for?'
That'll eliminate most of the 52%.
Don't fell bad for them. They're getting their strict border and immigration controls that they wanted. They can holiday in good old sovereign Bognor."Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience". Mark TwainComment

You don't if you are travelling from a Schengen country, which the UK is not.Originally posted by scooterscot View PostI don't recall having to provide this information on my recent trip to Austria, France, the Netherlands, Belgium...
If you travel to Spain from the UK you have to fill this info online or you will be stopped at passport control and refused entry. So the only real difference is the £10 possible cost, which on a £3k holiday is going to make no difference whatsoever.Comment

Parking in town costs more than that.Originally posted by GB9 View PostTo be fair, we may also have to pay a £10 fee too.

You want to widen your horizons a bit. Cuba is a great example of what happens when socialist theories overcome day to day realities. TBF, it was more Communist than socialist but worth a visit before the Americans knacker it.Originally posted by scooterscot View PostI don't recall having to provide this information on my recent trip to Austria, France, the Netherlands, Belgium...
I did have to provide this information to visit one of those nice islands next to the African coast that Spain governs. Traumatic. Must have taken me 30 seconds per traveller.Comment

Spot on young man. It costs more to get a cup of tea and a sarnie on Ryanair flight. And having just been to Spain, they didn't ask for any payment at all.Originally posted by DimPrawn View PostYou don't if you are travelling from a Schengen country, which the UK is not.
