Maybe you should introduce him to contractoruk, that way when he has some extra free time can troll the forums and not chat up the permies or even better give him some work to do and keep him busy.
On the other hand I am looking for a new contract and would be happy to replace him I promise I would be good enough at whatever he is not half bad.
