I din't make an insult. I asked a question. Would you like me to ask it again? Very well. Are you such a loser you can't tell when you've won?"Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience". Mark Twain -
Let's see how -ve interest rates work out for the EurozoneOriginally posted by vetran View PostI still don't know why when the Government found most of the debt was disguised Toxic debt they didn't just cancel it and imprison anyone who was involved in perpetrating the fraud.
Combine that with sending a few bankers to prison for the various illegal things they were up to.
we would be out of it by now.

I strongly disagree. Most of the UK's problems, like the Greeks, are or our own making. Socialists blame everyone but themselves. Our debt grew when we bailed out the banks, the EU din't force us to. We broke our own capitalist rules. We spent disgusting amounts of money on illegal conflicts that were never a threat to realm. Did the EU ask us to? Er no. but the US did, so we played along. Did the EU ask us to devalue our currency? No. QE has done nothing to help us, we're still in the same pickle as 2008.Originally posted by BrilloPad View PostI agree strongly about the UK. Immigration and rising house prices are all that is holding the economy up. Interesting you call it socialism gone made when most of the problems have been caused by the UK voting to stay in the Common Market which turned into the EU without a vote. Countries which voted against the EU were asked to vote until they agreed to stay. Which is what will happen if the UK votes to leave(which it will not).
If you think about the money we spent in war, QE, failed banks being members of the EU is like shopping for penny sweets in comparison."Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience". Mark TwainComment

Don't you think the Greeks have no one to blame but themselves? Spending money they never had? A bit like the UK today? Spending money we don't have or is not ours? Socialism gone mad. The culture of expectance from the top. What happens when other stop lending us money? The out vote could be the trigger.Take your pick of those 2 above. I did answer your question. I will now go and respond to your response. Unless some f00ker interrupts me with some w*rk.Originally posted by scooterscot View PostI din't make an insult. I asked a question. I agree with everything you just said!
The UK is going to crash and burn. Like Western Europe.
I will be voting BrExit. But it is irrelevant as we will stay. It will enable the UK to blame Germany for the inevitable I suppose.Comment

If the Europeans were all in it together then the Germans would buy up all the Greek debt via the ECB. But why should they?Originally posted by PurpleGorilla View PostLet's see how -ve interest rates work out for the Eurozone
What I am amazed is how Merkel has convinced the hard working, proud German people that the Greek debt will eventually be repaid.
And why they keep electing idiots. But I suppose we do the same in the UK.Comment

You only need one stamp for the price of a pint of milk.Originally posted by scooterscot View PostI think postage stamps are supposed to be legal tender too.
