I think you'll find it's your own government that you voted for that is oppressing you:Originally posted by BrilloPad View Post+1000
However IMO the freedoms have already been given over to the 4th Reich. I want to see them back.

But then again, if the Tories and other right wing groups get to quit the EU and become the first country ever to tear up the European Convention on Human Rights, they'll be liberated to create the most extreme-right authoritarian government in Europe since the fall of fascism, and they'll do this without the slightest regard for the fact that their ideological figurehead (Margaret Thatcher) was one of the most vocal supporters of the European project back in the 1970s. When you consider how highly privacy is now regarded in Germany.. and the current UK government's wish to invade our privacy further all in the name of terrorism. The number of CCTV cameras in the UK outnumbers that in the whole of Europe. Then the selective news stories media chooses. Our massive debt... the increasing intolerance for other cultures, growing protectionism. We're lurching to the right in a scary way.Originally posted by darmstadt View PostBut then again, if the Tories and other right wing groups get to quit the EU and become the first country ever to tear up the European Convention on Human Rights, they'll be liberated to create the most extreme-right authoritarian government in Europe since the fall of fascism, and they'll do this without the slightest regard for the fact that their ideological figurehead (Margaret Thatcher) was one of the most vocal supporters of the European project back in the 1970s. It's outrageous that in UK it's not allowed to change legal money - 500 euro note, and even 50 GBP isn't widely acceptable - legal tender should mean that one must take it when offered for quoted priceOriginally posted by scooterscot View PostWhen you consider how highly privacy is now regarded in Germany.. and the current UK government's wish to invalid our privacy further all in the name of terrorism.

Yeah, but according to the gullible masses drip fed by second rate media they're taking over Europe, re. all the idiotic Fourth Reich quotes when these people are too blind to see that it's their own government acting more like that, or the Stasi...Originally posted by SueEllen View PostLuckily you are in Germany so you don't need to worry.“Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.”Comment

What a rather silly, spur of the moment statement. How did the UK win freedom from Germany because I don't ever recall the UK being under German control but never let a fact get in the way of right wing rhetoricOriginally posted by DodgyAgent View PostI thought we fought two world wars in order to win freedom from germany and tw*ats like you carelessly want to surrender those freedoms back to the Germans
