That's a problem the world over though right now. Has there ever been a less inspiring bunch of leaders? Does anyone stand for, or against, anything any more?

I completely agree that our politicians are dreadful. But then, so are everyone else's.

Right now I'd appreciate a politician that's admits when they're wrong. 'Look I've made a mistake'. I'd have buckets of respect for a leader that said as much. We all make mistakes and learn from them. Like the recent Cameron tax fiasco, who played the public for a week like they were idiots.
