Happens all the time especially in London.

Moral of story always be nice to people in public 48 hours before you have an interview.

            I don't!
Asking someone where a role is based is a perfectly reasonable question.
If you know that based on the description you could do the job, then the questions you need to ask are the ones not specified in the description.

The description said "west of London", now if we just stick to "west of London but within England", then that covers anything from Charing Cross to Bristol (or down to Cornwall as well). To many, Uxbridge is in London - it's inside the M25, it's London.

Do I apply for a role that I can't get to on a daily commute? Do I need to stay overnight because of the location? Do I want to apply for the role, because the description is something I can do?

Well I think you were too nice. A pithy response obviously supplied, but I would have gone with the one further in this thread.

              F off!

Then why ask about nearest tube stop?

Probably a fake role, in any case

Hardly scathing, really and the answer back was really quite poor.

Because asking where the nearest airport is wouldn't be much good unless you contract by helicopter?
