Get the doc to sign you off proper then you can get yourself a mobility scooter. Probably be able to jump the queue when signing on.

To be fair on this occasion, NHS were VERY good indeed. I was literally at GP, in hospital, procedure done and home within 4 hours.
Tempted to go back to office but will probably take another day off. Bummer.
