If America did stop muslim immigration, would the amount of terrorism in America in the future would be less than it would otherwise be? I would imagine yes. For an average american who does not have muslim friends or relatives, is there a downside to this policy?Comment

What does that have to do with the point being made? Xenophibia & things that look like xenophobia?Originally posted by SueEllen View Post
Welfare gives you the state pension e.g. a minimum income to survive on when you are unable to work due to age.
Not true on any count (from what I gather you to mean by 'aspects of socialism').Originally posted by SueEllen View PostIf it wasn't for "aspects of socialism" as you call it you would have state eduction, a police service, an army or an NHS.
Although I'm not sure that socialism means what you think it means.
That only makes any sense if you assume some unearned a priori obligations.Originally posted by SueEllen View PostAnti-discrimination laws are to remind public bodies and businesses of their obligations to treat people as fairly as possible.
That aside what does it have to do with the point being made (xenophobia & things that look like xenophobia) ?
Are you wrapping hate speech up into discrimination? I have no problem with hate speech anyway (so far as law is concerned) - I value freedom of speech. But that wasn't really what I meant by discrimination.Originally posted by SueEllen View PostHate speech laws are to used to stop inciting other people do violent things to minorities in society whether they have a disability or follow a different religion.
What's that got to do with anything I said?Originally posted by SueEllen View PostAll societies need rules to govern them as without it you would get anarchy. Though some people think anarchy is a good thing....Comment

Nope because there are Muslim converts in the US who don't like the political establishment. One of the groups has been around since the 1930's. If you start a war on Muslims then you are going to stir some weirdo in one of those groups to take action.Originally posted by GJABS View PostIf America did stop muslim immigration, would the amount of terrorism in America in the future would be less than it would otherwise be?
