Danger. You are educated and literate. You are able to interpret. You might wan't to add a disclaimer that many are not. Very many.

Fair enough - I know you have to change my words to inform to the ignorant.Originally posted by clearedforlanding View PostFTFY
If they knew or where related people from various religions, they would realise that every individuals interpretation is that - individual.
They would end up knowing Jews who don't believe in the state of Israel and Muslims who do.

So basically like Christians they can spend centuries beating each other up and killing each other due to believing in variations of Islam.

This is probably the best "Introduction" I know of on the Internet.
An Inquiry Into Islam: What Makes Islam So Successful?
It is not perfect but it does present the side of Islam that may be of concern.

So, they went after a social and economic system, followed by an organization of workers and then an ethnoreligious group, followed by Pastor Martin Niemölle who was a member of the German Protestant ('Evangelische') Church. Niemöller wasn't too concerned about the Catholic Church.Originally posted by AtW View PostFirst they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—

This quote makes sense in the context of National Socialist Germany during the time of the holocaust, but within the legal framework of a Western country, persecution of an ethnoreligious group is unlikley, despite even Trump's bluster.
The Muslim's are safe. Unless they are also benefits claimants in which case all bets are off.
