So as someone who prior to a few days back was about to pull the trigger and start MVL but held off because of the rumours should I go ahead or are things still ambiguous ?

Shame about ER, have a fair bit in the company account.

        If you read

Autumn Statement 2015 | Entrepreneurs relief on indirect investments

        and

Autumn Statement 2015 | Entrepreneurs relief on disposal of personal assets used in businesses

you'll note that there isn't yet a direct attack on "PSCs" (I hate using that term).

So unless I'm missing a massive point somewhere, it's business as usual WRT to ER for most contractor companies.

Thanks to CyclingProg for the initial link!

The draft Fiance Bill is expected on December 9th. I'm expecting Div Tax, No T&S for IR35 caught and Tax Scheme, GAAR are already announced to be included.
Changes to IR35 should go to a consultation having had a discussion document. AFAIK, if there was a jump without consultation then that could open up the possibility of a judicial review - although a JR would possibly allow a change in the implementation but not the policy itself.

I think changes to IR35 are unlikely to come in December, but would expect a consultation document at some stage this year or early next. And it's at that stage that the one month rule could rear its head again.

Eh? The text clearly indicates that ER will be effectively nuked for PSCs - when it's announced clearly it would take immediate effect to prevent people from shutting down companies - this is my opinion, not a financial or legal advice.
