I would cease all trade with the ME until basic human rights are introduced. This should come from the UN. Basics such as;
War crimes
Geneva convention
Freedom from persecution
Female equal rights
LBGT equal rights
Right to education
Etc.
Once a set of rules is established, the UN can go in and enforce the peace.
Boots on the ground 10million troops if needed.

Minute's silence here at 11am.
I do find these events somewhat mawkish & they are very much a recent phenomenon.
These never used to occur in the 70s/80s. Not even on armistice day. The only time you'd observe one would be if you were attending a remembrance service.Comment
