What about now - probably the same. But I wonder whether I would be able to find the courage to overcome my fear and have a go at them. I'm no Steven Seagal, so I'd almost certainly get killed. But applying basic logic, it's still the best chance of survival, rather than lying down just for them to shoot you in the back anyway, which is what these nutters seem to be doing now.

Sounds straightforward, but it's too easy to get frozen with fear. I wonder how I would react.

Hopefully I will never get to find out...
If only someone nearby, apart from terrorists, had a gun. I suspect that would inspire some extra courage.

Usual victimhood claptrap. It's not because it's not arabs or muslims. It's because it's close to home. Further at least one of the Paris attacks is in an area of high muslim habitation.
France supported the "Syrian opposition" who were massacring Syrians left, right and centre. Now it's come back and bit them in the arse.
The "Oh, it's all our fault" testicular argument. Are you one of the self-hating left?

Well how about we sort out the problem in the first place then it won't come to our shores - be a humanitarian and help other humans and by default you will protect your own
Idealistic nonsense. We have to deal with the situation as it is - not hand-wring about how it could have been prevented by being nicer to one another. The only way to deal with Isis is to attack them.

Andrew White, the so-called Bishop of Baghdad who's probably far more of a humanitarian than anyone on this forum, said of ISIS:

You can’t negotiate with them. I have never said that about another group of people. These are really so different, so extreme, so radical, so evil.” ... “It really hurts. I have tried so hard. I will do anything to save life and bring about tranquillity, and here I am forced by death and destruction to say there should be war.”
Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!

How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think

I think there is a really simple solution to this.

All these refugees who are fleeing their countries, we train them, we arm them, we look after their families and we support them to go back to fight for the freedom of their country.

SO there is no 'free house' anywhere they simply get the chance to fight and die for the freedom of their country

Will probably rout out the 'terrorists' who are among them (not sure really about that btw).

obviously if the men are unwilling to do this then they just get deported straight back with no support

well I guess when you say face the enemy and shoot and a few do not turn the way you expected it will rout out the terrorists as I said

but the point I was making is that you actually put them in a training camp - so they cannot escape - there is no where else to go - they will be safe and fed and trained and their family will be safe

if they think they can just come into Europe and disappear they can fook off!

I think Kennedy tried that with Cuba and it ended rather badly in the Bay of Pigs.

well with equality we can send the ladies back to bear arms as well. All we have to do is look after the children until they turn 18 and can bear arms.
