Nothing on my wrist.

I’ve got a TAG Chronograph Link Automatic upstairs.

Needs a service, but can’t be arsed paying £400 to get it done.

Might one day as I think they are still over £1k second hand.

Seems expensive? When TAG last serviced my watch about 7-8 years ago I think it was around £200-220.

You could try an independent company? That might affect it's resale value I guess.

Who needs a butler when a 60yo guy has a 30yo thai bride.

The watch will not travel far enough if she wears it.

At least the butler can service himself and increase the distance.

I tried 'Automatic' watches in the past and I don't move my wrist enough to keep them 'charged'.

I tried 'Automatic' watches in the past and I don't move my wrist enough to keep them 'charged'. I'm guessing the quality watches have a finely engineered automatic device which requires less movement?

U have had multiple eco-drives since they first came out. I still have three, one of which is 10+ years old, which all still work.

Trying a Pulsar Solar currently, which appears to be as good as the Citizens, with a mineral face for 1/2 the price.

That's the same problem I had with my TAG. A friend of mine who is so into his watches that he started up his own luxury watch company, suggested I try a watch winder that rotates the watch when you're not using it. I had never heard of these but it sounded a good idea although I didn't get round to buying one though.
