What an idiotic idea.Originally posted by EternalOptimist View PostOMG. He wants 'women only' railway carriages now
well that's a safe space isn't it ?
Does that make any woman who doesn't choose to go in the "women only" carriage fair game?
Train carriages are full of CCTV cameras these days. If a woman is assaulted then the abuser should be pursued and prosecuted. Segregation is an admission that the police are not bothered about, or unable to catch criminals.Comment

It is an idiotic idea, and it wasn't his. It was put to him as a question and he replied that he would consult with interested parties and womens groups. At no point did he endorse the idea or put it forward himself.Originally posted by Chuck View PostWhat an idiotic idea.

Wonder where that idea came from?Originally posted by EternalOptimist View PostOMG. He wants 'women only' railway carriages now

Ah, here it is - it's actually an idea from the Tories:
Women-only train carriages could be introduced in a bid to cut sex attacks on passengers.
Transport minister Claire Perry told the Tory Conference in Birmingham that she was open to ideas that boosted safety.

This is what he actually said:
It just shows how much spins there is against him.Consultation on public transport: some women have raised with Jeremy that a solution to the rise in assault and harassment on public transport could be to introduce women-only carriages. My intention would be to make public transport safer for everyone from the train platform, to the bus stop to on the mode of transport itself. However, I would consult with women and open it up to hear their views on whether women–only transport carriages would be welcome – and also if piloting this at times and modes of transport where harassment is reported most frequently would be of interest."I can put any old tat in my sig, put quotes around it and attribute to someone of whom I've heard, to make it sound true."

The country would be better run if we filled parliament with gibbons from the nearest wildlife park.Comment

The difference is that the Tories really care about safety, Corbyn only cares about his mozzie friends and their backwards rules to keep men and women segregated.Originally posted by NickFitz View PostWonder where that idea came from?

Jeremy Corbyn DID NOT SAY THAT."I can put any old tat in my sig, put quotes around it and attribute to someone of whom I've heard, to make it sound true."
