Unfortunately, with the recent governance changes and the fact that the election is in full swing, the boat has likely sailed.

Nominating people is probably harmless (they could easily nominate each other instead). I think the bigger issue that it introduces a slate (vote for my representatives)..

A wonder if the solution would be to hide the names of those who nominate and second...

Because I don't actually think its the time to discuss these things (slap bang in the middle of an election).

When the election is finished I may (probably will) suggest it, but for the moment suggesting a possible slate, when in reality there possibly isn't one isn't going to do anyone any good...
