The thing that I've only realised since I've been paying attention is that most of the CC don't post anything at all on the forums, so you've no idea whether they're or At least the s you see are reading your feedback and do sometimes provide some useful advice.

Indeed - even when I started a thread for the CC and every member was made aware of it, many did not reply.

I may not agree with what some people say, but they are significantly more likely to have my support by being visible and saying something that we can argue over than being invisible and me not knowing anything about them.

That's why certain CC / board members have always had my support at the ballot box, and why certain candidates never will.

It is fair to say that some of them could do with some communication skills training though!

That would explain it. Just as an aside, the fact the names and votes cast for them are published each year is another nail in the coffin of the "They don't tell us anything" brigade...
          Blog? What blog...?

And two votes really can swing it

Yes - so make sure you vote, guys!

Last year there were 6 votes separating five candidates - four of whom got in.

Yeah, God forbid anyone looking for governance info in the Governance forum instead of Notice Board

Just been looking through the booklet they sent out, and noticed something. 4 of the candidates have been proposed by 1 current Director. What do you think of this?

Should 1 person be able to propose more than 1 candidate?
Should a current director be able to propose members to the CC? It seems to be stacking the cards slightly.

It is designed that way so that CUK cannot actually take over

It's an interesting point - might be worth raising "over there"?
