Most women trick the husbands to have a kid for the sole purpose of then milking him dry for the rest of his life while they keep moving on from one man to another and leech each one off. If the divorcees have no kids then yes, the husband should not have to pay anything to the wife. When kids are involved then the appropriate child maintenance payments should be made.
