I may actually pay attention this time: contract is about to run out on mobile & now (after trying windows, iPhone & Android) I have decided that for a phone the iPhone suits me best, so the choice will be to get the new release, or if the new bits are not relevant to me; get the reduced price older version.

A year between major OS versions, ugh.

These days a "major" revision number is not really a major revision! They are more like service packs, the last "new" version I would say was between iOS 6 and iOS 7

Interesting to see if the iPad Pro and new MacBook seem to be fighting for the same market with the keyboard
