No-CU will allow the RUK to manage their own economy. We'll have to manage our own independent economy. We can still use Sterling, the Euro or the Twat, but we will not have a CU.
Butting a barrier up to your second biggest export market, and a pretty big import market is a good enough reason, forget the balance of payments issues that the rUK will have. That would be political suicide for the rUK prime minister or chancellor.

Your assertion that it makes no economic sense is just plain bollocks.

You really don't understand economics do you. Then again you did try and compare the use of the punt with a CU so you really, really, really don't.
I guess the Yes website doesn't have an Economics 101 course.

Glad to see you've managed to forget the balance of payments issue. Now you just have to recognise that the Scottish Market will still be there -although reduced in size.

Trade continues between the UK and RoI, but it was certainly difficult a few years ago in Ireland when sterling devalued against the Euro. This is presumably why the pound Scots will peg to sterling. But there will be no currency union simply because London will not want responsibility for supervising, approving or vetoing iScotland's tax and spending plans.

Your Westminster Leaders have already told us that using a different currency will make it too difficult and expensive for Scotland to import or export goods.

So England's market in Scotland will stay (but reduced in size) but Scotland's market will disappear

A neutral observer might think you were taking the piss.

It will work out just fine. But there will be no CU or Panama solution.

I think we'll just have to agree to disagree on the CU.

Once it's all settled we can come back and the CUKers who were wrong can do a fair bit of humble pie eating.

Jeez you'll be calling me a Tory next. I'm not neutral, I think the whole 'Yes' thing is bonkers. The CU doesn't stack up, I wish it did, but it doesn't.

Hang on, the sun is shining and I'm typing more bollocks. I'm off out to Lucas for some ice cream.....

Well, TM believed Ireland had a CU with UK until 1979, so there is clearly some pig ignorance on your side.
