I thought your point was that it is cheaper in Sweden despite higher taxation rates, whereas in fact it is because of subsidies funded by taxation.

Are you really a nationalist, or one of these unionist trolls I've read about?

If you got all the devolution on offer would you vote No?
No, I would not vote No. Why would I vote No to get less powers that a Yes would give?

Scotland is the richest nation ever to go for independence. If the situation was reversed there is no way Scotland would vote to join the Union.

Of course not. Independence is the way to go. But please be honest about the risks.

No but I think we're richer than the USA was when they went independent. It was over 200 years ago, you know

Agreed. This is a a very different process as well, and it's hard to find parallels. At the other end of the spectrum Australia, Canada and New Zealand achieved independence much more gradually, avoiding the currency, capital flight risks etc.

and all those examples were a long time ago in a world without anything like the Global markets we have today.

..... my main gripe with the Yes campaign is its inability to recognise the considerable pain that would follow a Yes vote and their total and abject failure to address the issues years ago.
