I'm frequently contracted as an "Interim Manager" and I certainly view myself as a contractor. I can't think of a single "Interim Manager" that I've ever worked with that doesn't consider themselves a contractor either.

I don't know where your perception comes from, but it certainly doesn't align with my experience and views.

Password reset worked for me. I couldn't get in with the old one (despite the assurances that names and passwords would work), but I've managed to reset and post since then.

Yeah, me too, it seems the reset email was a two parter lol.

I've been putting out the same message for around ten years, I'm not about to change now. But if you look at what's being said, 95% is pointless whinge about trivia and 5% asking questions. About average for the forum, tbh.

The background about why the change has been made is all over the IPSE website, as is a summary of what has been achieved over the years. Perhaps some on here should have a read.


And that explains the huge proportion of university leavers how...?

Of course, there's an element of what you're saying, but the point is there's a lot of people working without a contract of employment. They still need support and representation, whether you call them "professionals" or not. And, amazingly to most on here I suspect, IR35 is a minor element of that support.

Incidentally, how do you get to be an IT "professional"? I've been at it 30-odd years now and still haven't seen a certificate to say I am one...
