    Large Scottish bank

Rates cut 10%. Sent to all. Accept or leave. What a shambles.

Send them a quote for a 10% increase or you'll walk.

It should have been closed down 10 years ago.

The email isn't very clear, not sure if they think they've given us 7 days notice as they say if we don't accept the terms by next Thursday morning that we finish up on the Friday. But that in itself isn't 7 days notice is it?

            Happy days

Is that allowed in the original contract? Your client is within its rights to tell you the rate will change but breaking the current notice period sounds dodgy.

They are telling you today that you finish on the 25th if you don't agree. Notice starts now. And its not 7 working days. And yes, I got one as well.

Can anyone confirm this for me... isn't it the case that they aren't obliged to provide work to do, even inside a notice period? So whether it's actually 7 days or not doesn't make a difference?
