That would bring in £400 and you don't get your £300 dole. So you'd be slaving for £100, working for less than min wage in effect. Why? -
To show clients that you are able to get out of bed every day and know how to work more than 30 minutes a day while you fill in forms?Originally posted by masonryan View PostThat would bring in £400 and you don't get your £300 dole. Got to be fair masonryan has a point. 20 mins per fortnight for £300 or 10 hours per week for £400. hmmm.Originally posted by masonryan View PostThat would bring in £400 and you don't get your £300 dole. So you'd be slaving for £100, working for less than min wage in effect. Why?
Dont go with this pride thing. Its just nuts. There are millions out there who have never worked, and never intend to, but they're happy claiming benefits. Why should anyone feel guilty or too proud because they're claiming something that they've more than contributed to is beyond me.
But then if you're so minted you can't be arsed and don't want the £70 a week then thats different. Personally, the way I look at is thats £300 of my savings being eaten up every month when it doesnt need to be.Rhyddid i lofnod psychocandy!!!!Comment

If you've got a CV with 10+ years of contracting experience then why would they require further proof that you can get out of bed?Originally posted by cojak View PostTo show clients that you are able to get out of bed every day and know how to work more than 30 minutes a day while you fill in forms?

Exactly. If I had less than £16k in savings I would get a few hundred quid more benefits too.Originally posted by psychocandy View PostBut then if you're so minted you can't be arsed and don't want the £70 a week then thats different.
