Dont go with this pride thing. Its just nuts. There are millions out there who have never worked, and never intend to, but they're happy claiming benefits. Why should anyone feel guilty or too proud because they're claiming something that they've more than contributed to is beyond me.
But then if you're so minted you can't be arsed and don't want the £70 a week then thats different. Personally, the way I look at is thats £300 of my savings being eaten up every month when it doesnt need to be.

Having been through it all a number of years ago, I'd be doing my damnedest to find another gig rather than go down that path again.
