What field do you specialise in? Companies Like Logica (Now CGI) might have an interest in you and might be able to help.

My understanding of Tier2 visas is that they are intended to bring in people from abroad where the skills cannot be fulfilled locally. What skills are you offering that cannot be met by the local workforce?

Yes but the important point is they should not be doing what many companies do and offer the role at wages that are unrealistic for locals as a way to game the system.

But what roles? You have to have a certain level to satisfy the criteria? Doesn't matter what industry.

yes correct. it does not necessarily mean the local workforce cannot meet it but it has to be within the ''shortage occupation list'', u can check the list out as compiled by the office of national statistics....so its a case of proving one is meeting such ''highly skilled roles' etc

yes...there is a shortage occupational list which defines such roles in various industries!
obviously you are not aware of any of this so why bother going further with my job specific roles, and from your previous responses I doubt you genuinely are interested in my posts or comments anyways...

But what roles do you do and someone might be able to tell you if you are the right level. A complaints handler won't cut it and no point just picking one and saying it's you if your CV doesn't back it up. It will have to be managerial, decision making or some kind of coding/programming I expect.

Am kinda wondering why a highly skilled workforce cannot use google to find it though.....

And this where the sore point is. Many of the jobs on the list got there not because there are no skilled people to do the work, but rather they would not entertain the likes of black apple offering them the job at 30% of the going rate.

My local Indian takeaway almost went bust because UK boarders agency turned up to interview the Bengal chef and then decided he needed to leave the country... I don't see anyone of the locals able to cook Bengal food so who the hell would replace him?

However the uk financial industry are making the local work force redundant at an alarming rate Hundreds of thousands have lost their jobs in the last four years. So it would be hard for you to argue that your skills are in short supply.
