They recoup this by charging considerably higher fees than a 'normal' umbrella, usually 15% - and they put you through PAYE.

Whether that's what the OP is talking about - hard to say.

Of course you will at that rate. Hence why you're getting irate responses here. You are probably undercutting the normal market rate.

However, these umbrella's also have a minimum day rate you need to be working on - in order for them to recoup their costs. 190 may not be enough.
However it is also illegal for an umbrella to do this...

You have to be paid for the company you are working for which puts Umbrellas out.

You are getting irate responses because the influx of indians in to our market willing to work at what are ridiculous rates in the UK is pushing us out of work and pushing the rates down and frankly we are all a bit pissed off with it so we are not going to be too pleased with you asking questions how you can bend the rules to stay here when you are not officially allowed to. What is decent pay to you is not to us.

and is techincally illegal as you are not being paid by the company you are working for. They are just escaping the law which will one day close them down just as it did with the scam courses and universities. Go with one of these companies and wake up every morning wondering if you are going to get deported today.
