We should all get together to get these crooks - if anyone of us went and shoplifted we'd be charged. These guys have stolen from all of us, employees and contractors alike and it's obvious to me that they were fully aware of their actions - bet they're sitting pretty in their paid for houses courtesy of contractors and employees.

Seems that one of the directors and 2 of the staff have sufaced now and are advertising more OSS jobs in south africa. Where has the money gone to pay the first lot!!! I wonder. Is this really fair....This company is on jobserve and is only 1 week old. Disgusting

That is it, I have had enough. If Veritas's client are going to stick by the crooks that have caused me to lose so much I am off. No way I am working for a company like that. I'd rather get a two-bob contract with a client and agency I can trust.

You do not know what you are taking about. These guys worked for 10 years and only walk away with debt and embarrassment. If you think they have their houses paid for and various sports cars then you need to get a reality check. They all have families and will have to sell up their houses and take it on the chin. I guess you need to move on and get a new job, if you are a recruiter and cant get a job at the moment then you may be one of the reasons why they went down.

I think this company was set up by Nick Brand and Bridie Marsh, who weren't directors as far as I'm aware. The company, number 06381352, was incorporated on September 25th this year.

Check companies house, I think you will find that he was and still is a director, 10% I believe..............

if the company has assets which have been transferred into the spouses of the directors to hide away from the administrators and the directors have not even had the manners to explain to a lady on maternity leave that she no longer has a job to come back to how do you expect us as consultants to not feel slightly cheated? as the directors seem to have got away scot free so far, there is even a rumour that their basic salaries were paid this month, so if you want to know where £30 000 went at the end of September possibly you should check your own account as I think you maybe one of the directors

What To Do...

From what's been said so far it seems that us contractors will not see a penny. That's thanks to limited liability laws. The banks come first in the debt recovery pecking order. What ever amounts that may be offered to us in time may take months or years yet.

A private prosecution may be possible but solid legal advice is required and perhaps taken on a no win no fee basis. If the earlier mentioned co-operative thinks that there is a chance then count me in.

The new company mentioned earlier, number 06381352, is called Waterhouse Recruitment Ltd.

Madbilly you seem to be a very close friend of one of the directors. Like any of us care one iota about the directors. They have had us working for months knowing this was going to happen. Their houses and cars should be sold to pay all staff and contractors. I have seen the financial report and the credit check for Veritas. My kids could have run that company better than any of them. Greg and Marcus have gone very quiet. Why are they not helping us and being honest with us. Veritas is still legally running. Veritas is still invoicing MY clients. However have no intention of paying anyone. So Madbilly we don't need to hear rubbish anymore, we just need to make sure we get our money and all 3 directors never work again.
