The large pharmaceutical company, Astra Zeneca for London and Cambridge.

I've had numerous approaches over the years for perm and contract roles. Their whole recruitment process is shambolic and given the frequency I saw adverts for recruiting one particular niche role type, I think their employee/contractor turnover must be very high. I've had this backed up by several friends and also agents.

Not my experience. Although having worked there I don't get a single call. And in my experience most of the contractors are there forever. Proper sweet target for HMRC. I thought they'd be next after GSK for the letters.

Who is approaching you? Their internal people or an agent on their PSL?

My first contractor interview was with Nationwide in Swindon. Sadly didn't lead to my first contract.

Got approached for a Full Stack Developer role last week. Wouldn't mind but I am a tester who hasn't mentioned development on his CV.

Toyota - the first thing the agent says is “they want someone in 1-2 days a week”-
Translation: someone at client has a massive chip on their shoulder over remote working and I chuckle as I ask, a year later, “still looking, then?”

And Selfridges who never seem to be happy with anyone they interview

Never had the 'honour' of dealing with Selfridges but know what you mean. You get the impression they created a list of reasons not to take you on ahead of the interview and based their questions entirely on it.

Oddly I always get contacted by Ford. I live in the wrong part of London to bother with them.

I used to get calls about Deloitte daily.
Another was the firm that runs the Oyster card system
                    TFL was another regular call
