I am fairly sure Steria have been using Indian nationals on SC dev projects for quite a while. I think the deal was they were only "supposed" to see the development environment and test data, and not the live data, but in practise all that broke down. Shockingly bad quality too. But I am sure it looks cheaper on a spreadsheet.Comment

I was required to have SC but the rest of the workforce appeared to have just got off the plane from India so I was left scratching my head wondering how the hell they all got clearance.
Maybe, as you say, since they didn't see any live data, they waived the requirement for them.
Oh, and the quality was diabolical. I spent my whole time there clearing up other people's mess. Nobody would ever take ownership of anything. They'd say a task was complete but it never was and then they'd move on to the next task leaving me to pick up the pieces.
I think it's the only place where I got so frustrated that I would openly point the finger at people in stand ups but they just used to do their comedy wobbly head routine and suddenly lose the capability to understand simple English.
And don't even get me started on the quality of their javascript.....Comment
