its more like 3 mins actually

it's more the crap of going back into crap like performance reviews, career development plans, office politics, line manager, corporate bollocks etc

is it immoral to take it even though I only plan to stay 6-8 months ??

Is it immoral for them to dump you even though they gave you hope of a sparkling career there?

Why not use it to climb?

I have no desire to climb the corporate ladder, happy doing technical work, no desire to spend my life in meetings and producing spreadsheets,

possible upside may be the possibility to cross train into other technical work

The office is also on a desolate industrial estate .......

You're in Preston. It's better than being in the centre. Nuff said.

Isn't it over an hour to Liverpool from Preston on the train because you've got to go to Wigan (my condolences) then change?

Ah, fair enough. There's a lovely Portuguese restaurant called Piri Piri on Railway Road; I've been in there for the last few years after Ladies' Day at Aintree.
