3rd page onwards is contractor vanity IMO
Lots of agents reformat CVs by changing the font and removing address details so what is on page 3 ends up on page 2.

So having a 3-4 page CV isn't a killer as long as it's not all in a font less than size 10 with no white space.

My CV is four pages, with the main details on the first 2 pages. If recruiters/clients want to read pages 3 and 4 they can. I could not condense my career history (background, skills, experience) into 2 pages, as it would not do me justice.

Mine is 5 pages it always was and always will be. It is bulltulip to reduce it to 2 pages as essential information will be missing. I have never ever heard an agent or client complain it was too long.

              Skirt length.

Long enough to cover the subject, short enough to be interesting.

Why would they? We can't even get any feedback from interviews let alone CVs which are too long.

If you can't get it on 2 then try 3 but no agent is his right mind will read 5 pages. He will make an instant judgement call on it though which won't be in your favour.

Always was? When you were 18 you had a 5 page CV?

Indeed, and always will be? If the information is so useful won't he keep it and add the next gig so it's get longer. Making such a blinkered comment indicates there is a problem.
