How to avoid phone calls for permanent jobs?

I was said not to write my day in my CV. Should I more clearly write at the top of the CV I'm only looking for contracts? 75% of the companies calling me, calls for permanent, while I've set up Jobserve and Technojobs to say contracting only.

Any similar experiences on a red hot phone with almost all permanent opportunities?

My CV is on job boards, but 80% of recruiters calls me for permanent jobs while I've stated I want to do contracts.

Work out what package you would need to go perm and then just tell them you want that. You never know, someone might pay it.

Its how it is. I used to get calls and emails about permie work when I wasnt interested. Putting 'Contract Only' or whatever wont stop an agent contacting you about permie work.

Ignore mails and if they phone, just tell them you arent interested.

I do find it rather ridiculous to receive phone calls relating to permanent jobs when I'm 65
It's a bit late in life to start a permanent job with a pension and a company car, when I don't drive.
The best strategy is to request the caller to pass on your details to their "contract division"

Dunno why people get upset - I'm sure there's a percentage of contractors who are keeping their eye out for a permanent job so can't really blame the recruiter for trying. And, honestly, if someone offered me the right money (I.e., a chunk more take home than I do now) plus car, pension and close to home then I'd probably at least think about it

I just tell them I'm not interested and that'd only piss everyone off when I left after 6 months cos I got bored.

Re-read your first sentence and then try to understand why there's confusion.

Anyway, whats the problem? Just tell 'em you want £200K plus options. I know at least one tech permie who earns that.

It is probably also partly my fault, but I had 25 voicemail messages Monday morning before 12:00 and unfortunately it was 75% for permanent work. It takes time and organization in order, so you don't waste any good leads. I sometimes get confused by so much information from so many recruiters simultaneously.
