      Rejoining would, I suspect, result in a requirement to join the Euro and Schengen. We would never get the terms we had originally.

        As we haven't suffered the economic armageddon predicted its hard to understand why rejoining would be attractive.

            It's not about rejoining. If Lab/Lib win the next election then the UK will begin the march towards EU integration. In 10/20 years after numerous successive changes to the EU trade deal the UK will end up as a defacto member of the EU. Just look at economic slump that's about to happen:

                  I prefer the term "person with XX chromosome pairing" or "person with XY chromosome pairing". Until they manage to correct that little defect the whole argument is rather moot. IMVHO of course...
