Deport that man now. Green Kings IPA is the nectar of Gods. Even if the lowest order of demons drink it. Probably as a punishment from higher demons.

I'm no expert on this (happy to be corrected!) but as I understand it there are 2 separate issues.

      1. Some people claimed that the UK would be able to set higher standards than the EU, once we had our own separate legislation. However, when an amendment to the new bill said "How about not dumping untreated sewage into the rivers and the sea?" the government refused.

      2. Previously, companies needed a permit to dump sewage, and that permit required them to treat it first. However, some of the chemicals are now harder to come by, so the Environment Agency have said that companies don't have to follow that restriction anymore.

So, I believe that the amount of pollution has got worse after Brexit. Whether that's a significant problem will depend on your point of view (e.g. whether you want to go swimming in that water).

Not an easy problem to fix. It will take umpteen billions to upgrade our systems, so what do we do until that happens?

PS They should be telling us that drinking a bit of pooey water each day is good for you.

Well it seems the Netherlands still send their tulip here

                https://www.theguardian.com/environm...human-waste-uk
Sewage sludge containing human waste from the Netherlands has been passed for import to the UK, to be used on farmland as fertiliser, despite concerns over the safety of its use.

Spreading the sludge on farmland is banned in the Netherlands, where incineration is preferred, but allowed in the UK. Dutch water authorities are eyeing the UK as a possible destination for their sewage, after problems at an Amsterdam incineration company left them lacking disposal options.

                  Tulip from Amsterdam?

Anyway, it's good to see that we've got a great turd trade deal there, and they need us more than we need them. Everything is flowing normally through to the UK, no constipation in the process.

So you're agreeing the Brits are stupid for accepting it?
