No because they're not designed to facilitate friction-less trade but to strengthen the statehood aspects of the EU project. Trade deals cover the handling of trade between parties but with the EU they also place demands on local laws, social systems and dealings with external parties.

You say that trade across EU countries is not efficient, so I simply asked had you done much.

Your response would imply that you're not actually involved in cross-border businesses, but perhaps you can tell us a joke instead, if that's more your thing.

Any international trade deal would do the same - if you want to sell your product in country X, then it needs to be manufactured/tested to meet the legal requirements and standards of that country. The transportation of the product and relevant paperwork needs to be in order. If they have other requirements, you'd need to meet them too - if you want to do business.

Your problem is that you seem unable to make a comment without using terms like "EU superstate", as if repeating a lie often enough will make it true.

Really? And just where did I say that exactly?

No.....thought not. It is just your tired old tactic of amending the reality to try and fit it around your knuckleheaded negative narrative.

Clearly it can't happen overnight, but here's the thing. It doesn't have to.
As long as it DOES happen that is adequate.

It's only seeming. There's no evidence of actual thought.

Or at least none that is carried out at the sort of glacial pace that might allow a moron like YOU to follow it's train, eh?

You clearly didn't read the post I was responding to. I'll refresh your memory:

The single market is the most efficient barrier-free market we will ever be a part of.
I questioned the use of "efficient". "Seamless" would have been more appropriate, I'll dig out my thesaurus if you'd prefer something else. I don't associate the EU or any off its offspring as being "efficient". Anything but, in fact.
