Well to be fair to her, that WAS their best hope of staying in the EU, for had they got Independence first time around the Spanish (amongst others) would most certainly have blocked their route in.

from my understanding of CETA, the Canadians get almost tariff free access to the single market and this is without FOM. So the really big one that is not covered is bank passporting. So we start with a fully agreed ratified CETA deal and trade off benefits and costs from that basis. It really isn't rocket science.

The might have needed some IMF help, but thr rest of the UK would have helped them. We gave the Irish £10bn when they were in the tulip.

You seem to think that England is rolling in it, when the reality is that there are record deficits funded by foreigners who are getting jittery.
I reckon theres a bigger probability of the whole UK economy collapsing and needing IMF help than there is of a successful hard Brexit.
The former would suit me nicely.

Nope. Just take Germany. If they lose trade with us they will definitely hurt.
But for them it's only one country.
We would lose trade with all 28.
