Any recommendations - based on recent experiences (and cost) - for a contract legal review - not specifically IR35, but the legal aspects, clauses, obligations, etc.?

I'm not sure that anyone has direct experience of a solicitor familiar with IT contracts, so I would advise that you have a look at the Law Society:
Find a solicitor - The Law Society

Yes, there is a considerable amount of complexity surrounding the arrangement. Also dealing with a new agency, with a one-sided draft contract. Important to examine obligations including, and beyond IR35.Comment
