    What MP next step?

Whats MP next steps to all those letters?

I'm still waiting for a reply from Gauke to my second letter, the one I sent ripping into his first letter by quoting his own arguments from 2008.

Funny you should mention photofits. Here's one of the person that signed the above notice of completion:

Government U turn on Pasty Tax!

Following protests from Bakers and Carvaners! Maybe they'd like to also listen to the poor souls shafted by immoral repungent legislation!

'For Labour, shadow Treasury minister Chris Leslie said: "This government is proving time and time again they can't think through policies before it makes announcements.'

Remove the word 'This' would be more appropriate....

Keep those notices of completion coming

I have received a few more like this:

They seem to fall into 2 camps:

            1) people who didn't make a DTA claim in the year in question
            2) people who did make a DTA claim

Obviously category (2) are more interesting but just send me them anyway.

            Thanks
            DR

God knows. Maybe they were just sending them out randomly.

I don't know if it is significant but all the ones I've seen so far were dated March 2006, and this was just before the investigation was moved from Liverpool to Manchester.

And why bother if they didn't use the DTA for the year which was closed?

For whatever reason, it appears they opened enquiries into years where the scheme hadn't actually been used.

As to why they closed years where the scheme had been used, that's also a mystery.

So all we can say really is that the only consistency that HMRC have exhibited is inconsistency
