Sorry, I cannot agree. Whilst I understand the sentiment I don't want payback, I want justice. But think about it. HMRC doing what I suggests can open up a world of hurt for those behind this scam. It may not go public and you may not get payback. But some HMRC folks will land hard. Personally I don't want that to happen to them anymore than to any of us. If they don't climb down and soon then the pain will happen for them and that can make things worse. I don't want that either. I just want justice on a level playing field.

Sure, being able to stick a fresh haddock up their case exhaust would be fun but I cannot condone or support the idea of payback. Jeez, I find that hard to say because part of me wants that BIG time. But then it gets personal and nasty. And that is what brought all of this about in the first place.

I know I sound like someone who just got religion days after a killer cut my families throats and then said I forgive them. Trust me, I'm not. I just want closure and the wrongs to be righted. If HMRC choose not to do that then any pain that comes their way will be of their own making and whilst I stand by what I said above, I would not feel remorse since I did not bring that about.

HMRC, you know what I mean. Pull the plug on this now and let it go. This is not going away and you realise this.

Saw my MP today. Sent email with details to the usual suspects.

Actually he was very concerned that HMRC are pushing so many into bankruptcy - he pointed out they will get nothing like £200m.

        Ready Torpedo 2

Joined site this week and have used Toolkit to draft response to the Gauking. Fire off Monday.

A weekend of reading 'Key Documents' lies ahead. Superb collection. Now just to get an end-game that results in an amendment. From K005 and discussions with Whitehouse, JK is already a worm that's turning. Who will be the patsy - Brooks QC? Can't put this read down...

Couldn't agree more.... I just want closure and get on with what’s left of my life, yes the past few years have been met with some pretty miserable and worrying times, we have learned, or verified, much about the chaos, lies, miss-management, corruption, etc. within the establishment, we have all become wiser. I personally have gained comfort from this forum and regard many posters on here as friends... I thank you all.... alas we fight on...

HMRC do the right thing NOW, put an end to this fiasco, unless that is… you wish to dig yourself an even bigger hole.

            From another MP:

"he is acutely aware of the representations being made to MPs by constituents such as yourself and the campaign from 'No to Retro Tax'. But he is resolute that this is a tax avoidance measure closed by the previous Labour Government and the time to stop it was then, not now"
Had meeting with MP this week (Tory), the MP had been briefed by Gauke just before and came across like a cracked record, worse than that couldn't even counter my points since didn't actually know the background. Resorted to saying that yes it might seem hypocritical that the Tories were against the legislation before in power and now have changed their minds. Kept saying "I know this isn't what you want to hear but it will not be changed because it will cost too much, £300m" (seems to have gone up from the £200m they usually quote). Basically it was a pointless discussion since MP had decided the answer before speaking to me and didn't care whether I was right - the answer was not changing. Interesting that MPs seem to have no problem sitting in front of someone whose entire livelihood they are attempting to take away while not bothering to counter the logic that it is unfair and probably illegal - and just say sorry mate, costs too much to have morals, not be hypocritical, abide by the law etc.

Obviously it is ridiculous as we well know that the money they think they will get is a pure fiction.

Nevermind MP no. 2 to go. Hoping Lib Dem might have more morals and more brain.....worth a try!

Sorry but there is no chance of common sense. Its a fight to the death. Probably literally in my case. The winner takes it all.

Only Tory MPs can be ****ked.

Most of those who have been ****ked are newbies.

So are we getting some support from the Tories?

Yes we are. Small pockets of resistance to Mr Gauke, the world's most hypocrital man.
