Has this 2001 fact been raised as part of the JR? I know DR mentioned nothing being mentioned since 2004, but 2001 makes it sound even worse. Of course the judge or whichever committee could say yeh that sucks of the HMRC, but, you still owe the money.Comment

Of course they can say we still owe the money! Nothing is guaranteed here. But the odds are stacked in our favour.Comment

I agree. I am just wondering if people, in their initial reactions, had a conversation with the HMRC when all of this business started, and thus whether they also discussed any negotiations. I myself had a conversation with one of the HMRC lot and I remember how he sounded like a car salesman, or some other dodgy dealer. He spent the majority of the conversation telling me how much the interest is, how long these things drag on, how in many many cases peoples final interest bill is much greater than the original bill...."better to pay up now and be done with it" he said. "And there is no negotiation sir, you owe use the tax."Comment
