My advice is to stick with them until all your filings are up to date then look to switch.

Theres a boat-load of long-term SJD customers in the same boat.

Whatever is happening over there is not good but you need to pick your moment.

Personally, I have been in contact with companies house since the cyber-attack landed but the law is the law and you need to file your accounts.
I've just been reading through their reviews on Trustpilot. Sticking with them looks like a bad idea. Many people missing deadlines and being fined. I need to sort an alternative now.

Looks like SJD are pretty much done as a business. From all of that I'd be expecting some kind of notice closure from them any day now.

They have been review bombed on trustpilot since the cyberattack. Prior to that, they were doing alright, I did not really have a problem until the cyberattack.

By all means take your business elsewhere, I will be looking to move once the dust has settled. Everyone moving over at the same time to X accountant is not going to end well either, the numbers of people with SJD remain in the thousands.

Before choosing a new provider I'd take a look at this -

        https://forums.contractoruk.com/hmrc...companies.html

and then try to make sure you don't fall foul of HMRCs new interpretation of the MSC laws.

            understatement of the month.
they (well their parent company) were hacked in January. And your data is likely all over the dark web.
Missing bad reviews of a supplier is one thing.

Failing to do any form of due diligence on a company whose service you rely on to meet your obligations is just p*** poor. The entire group of companies is likely beyond rescue but fools are continuing to pay whilst the owners screw the last few beans they can and do absolutely nothing.

            Find a new account ASAP.
Are you using the SJD spreadsheet? If so then you stand a chance of recovering this.
If you're on their online portal how did you not notice it being down for weeks in January?

              why????

If they're still solvent, they have no obligation to do what you expect.
And if idiots are still paying then it is good business for them to carry on milking that cow.

I wonder what Messrs Dolan, Nixon and Williams make of all this. They may not own it, but its their name.

They'll be sitting on the deck of the yacht in the marina at Monaco sipping the champagne wearing a smug grin. I can't imagine for a single nano second any of them give a toss.

I suspect they might - given the large final payments due to them in September 2022.
