Nope.

It's actually worth asking permies when they go on trips what they are allowed to claim. Most get a daily allowance and as they want to eat more at dinner time they tend to eat a sandwich for lunch.

We'll have to park that one then. I was of the opinion most clients have pretty tight expense policies nowadays which is often down to how much for breakfast, lunch room etc. PS are usually the worst for having set rules about everything. I haven't seen a daily allowance model for awhile so I can't be sure if it's common.

Rather an odd statement for someone that's willing to take the piss claiming JSA and then defending it to the hilt that he can do it cause it's in the rules.

I also don't agree with either sentiment as I travel much further (and often staying away for work) which a permie wouldn't. We work a different model which means different things are acceptable for us that aren't for permies. It was a pretty core argument of the T&S defence so I'm glad you weren't part of it with that statement.

Grey area I reckon. Is it a pisstake claiming for lunch when you'd eat it anyway? Course it is. Is a pisstake claiming 45pm per mile for your commute when the permie next to you cant do the same. Course it is.

Why are either of those things a "pisstake"? Its the cost of doing business (some of us run proper businesses anyway, we aren't all bums on seats permies in disguise).

My employer does. He also lets me work my own hours and choose which jobs I work on. My employer is the best.

No claiming JSA is a bit of a pisstake. I've always argued that claiming expenses for travel to work, paying minimum salary is also a bit of a pisstake to be honest so dont just pick on claiming JSA.

Also complete bollacks. I've worked with loads of permies who work away all week.
