Some people are about to potentially lose everything, how could it get ANY worse!!!!

I understand MP dont want us all saying basically their scheme was a sham, not good PR for them and probably gives HMRC some PR ammo against them. Maybe more fuel to the fire that the agent promoting the scheme could eventually be liable....So get their stance but for a lot of people the backs are against the wall and this appears to be the only hope left. Its TAA or certain doom, what would they chose in that scenario.

          Yip exactly.

My family are more important to me than MPs reputation. I have the upmost of respect for what they have done so far but for most of us we are quickly running out of time.

The sooner we get the private forum set up the better, maybe get rid of some of the negative vibes that are starting to permeate this forum

I'm beginning to wonder if certain people on this forum are HMRC trolls (intent on spreading fear and doubt).
This is exactly the reason why I have set up a private forum and members will only get access when CCW have vetted their identity.

The Steering Group have devoted 1000's of hours of their time to the TAA - time that they could have spent with their families instead. I don't know how anyone could doubt our intentions.
Personally I have spent many a night burning the midnight oil, working for free on the NTRT website, online forms and private forum.

I for one appreciate everything you and the Steering Group have done for us! I personally don't take any notice whatsoever of any posts which are not from NTRT! Thanks again!!!

Yes, it's ridiculous. We're in exactly the same predicament as our members. We have no hidden agenda or motives. All we're interested in doing is getting shut of this retro tax liability.

MTM quite happily spent our money on yachts (fact - the crew that ran out scheme were notorious within montp for always being out on the yacht) and have absolved themselves of any liability. They have continued to fight in court, but that is so they may recover loan payments.

The fact is they lied in the sales pitch as they were greedy and couldn't believe the scheme would run so long. To them it was of little consequence since latter users weren't on a loan agreement and they were creaming 10-15% with ZERO financial or legal risk. THEY CONNED US. they knew this would never stand up in court and continued.
                      Now this:

                      Really?

Remind me how many times Watkin lost against HMRC?
