With regard to the Tax years in question, I have one year where HMRC didn't inquire in time and I paid MTM they're success fee, HMRC subsequently did try and open that year, hence do I include this year when specifying the years covered?

I presume the year was opened under discovery? In which case, include it.

What happens if we win or lose

Hi. Sorry about this but my head is fried... If I sign up to this now, in simple terms if there is a FTT win, is that it or do they appeal and it goes on and on? Just cannot take much more. Also what if we lose at the FTT. Is that it? I read the email and nothing is registering in my head. If someone has answered it prior, my apologies.

I dont have any notification that looks like this.

I have a letter headed Section 9A TMA 1970 saying enquiries intend to be made into 2 of my relevant tax years. Another letter similarly headed (Section 9A TMA 1970) says as Ive also submitted a return for a subsequent year, this will be included in their investigation.

Are these proper Closure notices as well?
