Hopefully if they do send one, they'll include a link to our website.

There are 1700 more people out there still to sign up.

              Hi,

Whilst russling through 3 full boxes full of paperwork I once again reviewed some of my 'we intend to enquire into your return' letters. Once thing I notice is that some of them have different wording to others. Some reference enquiry being opened under '"Section 9a TMA 1970 Notice"others do not.

I remember a while back some people had these deemed invalid due to incorrect wording. Without trawling through the 100's of pages on this thread; is anybody able to summarise what we should be looking for on these?

bottom line i think unless MTM have taken up the cause the chances are all anything to do with wording will do is buy a bit of time..... so as i beleive you said you have ctds to cover the \apns my guess is it is wasted effort if you wnat ot abvoid the penalites ..... but thats just my view

I must admit, it's only after trawling now through boxes that I have now checked my enquiry/closure notices and I would also be keen to know the rules for these - I can't find the post either.

As far as I can tell, I've had no enquiry or closure notice for tax year 2006 and 2007. And just one enquiry for 2008 which then had a closure notice for 2008 (not sure if the date is valid) with a calculation sheet including data for 2006-2008.

                    one more question

Who will choose the test cases? HMRC of NTRT?

Anything to lose by taking to twitter to increase visibility and signups?? I’m guessing a large portion of the 1700 aren’t aware of what’s going on here for one reason or another….
